This Privacy Statement sets out how VS Debt Counseling Specialists (Pty) Ltd uses and protects your personal information to comply with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the National Credit Act (NCA). We collect and process your personal information with your consent. We use your personal information only to carry out our legitimate business processes. We take the security and confidentiality of your personal information very seriously and have reasonable measures in place to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, and destruction. We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information up to date. If you would like to correct or update your information, please contact us to do so.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES:

Debt Review Removal: Once all debts are settled, we assist in obtaining a debt clearance certificate, allowing you to rebuild your credit profile.

Reckless Lending Assessment: If the company that gave you credit did not do an affordability assessment before giving you the credit or if the company did an affordability assessment and it showed that you could not afford the credit, but you were given the credit anyway, you are a victim of reckless lending. Contact us to investigate the matter and do a reckless lending assessment. If you have a solid case, the matter will be referred to a Magistrate’s Court for a final decision.
